7 YouTubers That Are Inspirational

Standard

1. ShayCarl

Not only is Shay always positive and upbeat, but he also is living proof that hard work can truly pay off. His passion for video production has brought him into a very successful life. He shows us that it’s important to work towards your dreams and never give up. He also embodies the importance of family, as well as living life to the fullest. If more people in this world were like Shay, I can’t even begin to imagine how much happier this world would be.

2. Shane Dawson

Shane’s humor may not be for everyone, but he truly is an inspirational person. He has spoken many times about his struggles from his teenage years and how he overcame them/is still overcoming them. He has faced a lot of body image issues in his life, and he likes to take time out to talk about it in his vlogs, in hopes of helping others who may have similar problems. He also has worked hard to live out his dreams. He even recently released a movie that he directed and produced, which has been a long time dream of his.

3. Jenna Marbles

Jenna may be the funniest chick on YouTube, but she is also a huge inspiration. She always reflects that she doesn’t care what people think about her, and that she will always be herself no matter what. She has been through a struggle of figuring out what she wants to do in life, and even said that she still isn’t sure, but she continues to make YouTube videos because it’s the one thing that she truly loves to do right now. She shows how important it is to do what you love and go for what you want.

4. Tyler Oakley

Tyler is always a smiling ray of sunshine in all his videos, which brings positivity to everyone. Like Jenna, he isn’t afraid to just be himself and doesn’t care if people don’t like him. His main goal is to make people smile and laugh at his videos, and to show people that it’s completely okay to be different. He loves to make people’s days better because he believes that everyone should stay positive.

5. Connor Franta

Connor likes to make a lot of relatable videos in order to make people feel better. He also enjoys making people smile and laugh and likes to assure people that they’re not alone in any issue they are facing. He is completely real with people which reflects that he loves himself for who he is. He wants others to know that they should feel the same, no matter how different they are from others. He really is a great role model for people of all ages because he always speaks the truth.

6. Lisa Schwartz

Like her boyfriend, Shane Dawson, she also mainly makes goofy and funny videos, but there’s something beneath the surface that makes Lisa inspirational. Every once in awhile, she will make a serious video just talking to her audience about the problems that she has had to overcome in her life. She recently talked about her anxiety attacks and how she is still struggling. But she also said that it’s important to believe in yourself and believe that you can get through anything. Through her humor, she shows that it’s important to look at life in a positive light and keep pushing through no matter what.

7. Charles Trippy

Charles is a lot like ShayCarl in a sense, that he makes daily vlogs and always likes to stay upbeat and positive. He has overcome many huge obstacles in his life, and he has shown that you can only overcome these things if you never give up. He even had a brain tumor, which put a huge toll on his life, but he stayed positive through it all, and eventually overcame it. He also had to deal with a divorce from his wife, but again, he stayed positive and found a way to move on. He is another person on YouTube who is very real with his viewers because he wants them to know that they can get through anything as well.

Things Each “Pretty Little Liar” Teaches Us

Standard

“Pretty Little Liars” has a wide range of characters that differ from one another, which allows viewers to relate to and learn from certain people on the show. I’ve decided to go through the 5 main girls and pick out a couple things that each of them teach us about life.

Spencer Hastings:

Spencer teaches us a lot about determination. Even when times get rough, you keep going until you succeed. Spencer plays Miss Detective all the time when it comes to searching through clues about “A”, and she doesn’t stop, even when all hope is lost. She uses her smarts and intuition in order to keep continuing her mission. She also teaches us that it’s ok to mess up sometimes because nobody is perfect!

Aria Montgomery:

Aria teaches us that it’s better to stand out than blend in. She reflects this mainly through her charismatic fashion choices, in which she proudly wears no matter how different she looks from everyone else. She also teaches us about love and passion with the help of her teacher….I mean, boyfriend, Ezra Fitz. So much has happened between the two of them but her actions show that if you truly love someone, you won’t let anything or anyone stand in the way; you’ll make it happen.

Hanna Marin:

Hannah teaches us that you don’t have to be serious all the time. In pretty much every episode, Hanna always has at least one hilarious line that cuts the tension and drama out of everyone’s lives in the moment. I’ve always thought that she has the greatest lines out of all the characters. With her silliness, she also adds on to Aria’s life lesson of not caring what people think about you.

Emily Fields:

Emily teaches us that it’s okay to be your true self because family and true friends will accept you. She was afraid to come out as gay to anyone because she didn’t know what they would think. But when she finally came out, both her parents and her friends accepted her for who she is, because they care about her. Her strength and openness is something that anyone and everyone can look up to.

Allison DiLaurentis:

Allison teaches us how to be strong. Even though we are quickly seeing that she is seemingly just a complete psycho bitch, we can still say that she is a strong person just from everything she had to go through. While we may no longer feel sorry for her, we can still all admit that she’s stronger than most of us would be in the situations she dealt with.

There are many more lessons that each character teaches us, depending on how each viewer personally depicts them. A huge lesson that each of these characters teach us is the importance of friendship. They have stuck together through everything, despite some serious fights that broke out between some of them, which shows that it’s important to be there for your friends especially in times of need. (Although, Allison doesn’t really reflect the kind of friend a person would like to have, so I’ll leave her out of this one).

Whether you watch the show or not, I believe that these are some important life lessons that everyone can take with them!

Here is a cute little collage I found with lessons learned from the boys of PLL:

Why you shouldn’t judge people

Standard

Take a moment to look around and see the people around you. They might be classmates, fellow drivers on the road, people in a store, etc. No matter who they are, each one of them has a past. Each one of them has a story that you know absolutely nothing about. It’s not plausible to take a look at a girl or guy with dark clothes and piercings and think, “oh, they’re so emo” or “oh they must be depressed”. It’s not right to watch a girl walk by in a really short skirt and tight shirt and think, “oh, she’s a slut”. You don’t know these people; the only thing you know is what you see. We all know the old saying, “don’t judge a book by it’s cover”, yet most of us do it anyway. It’s natural human instinct to make assumptions about people just from their appearance. Does that make it okay? No.

People watching can be pretty exciting because everyone out there is so different from one another, that people just fascinate us. Sometimes we wonder what strangers think of us when we walk by them. Do they think we are happy? Do they think we are a kind person? Or maybe they think something negative about us because they see something physically about us that makes them speculate. Even if you never hear or see one ounce of judgement coming from a stranger to you, it still makes you wonder what people think about you. I believe that almost everyone has at least thought about this once in their life.

The problem can only be solved if you make the initiative to do something about it. Look for the good in people, even if you don’t know them. I try to do this, especially if I come across someone very different from myself. I try to think of something positive about that person, whether it be physically, or mentally, especially if I see them interact with someone. Over the summer, there was an elderly lady living in my apartment complex, and some would say she was a little “creepy”, mainly because she was missing teeth and talked about her cats a lot. Now, if that’s all I told you about her, you would probably wouldn’t think very highly of her, would you? Well I didn’t want to be that person who made a face or ran away every time I saw her. I wanted to focus on what kind of person she was. I didn’t really get to know her well at all, but what I did come to find is that she said hi to me every single time I saw her, along with asking me how I’m doing. I found it completely endearing that she would take time to talk to me, someone she doesn’t know, just to ask how my day is going. The conversations were always short-lived, but from those conversations, I didn’t see a creepy smile of missing teeth; I saw the friendly face of a kind stranger with a genuine heart. It always upset me when I saw the way people looked at her, even just thinking about it now.

It’s virtually impossible to get to know every single stranger that you see in your life, but it’s very possible to see the best light in them when you find yourself seeing the worst. You just have to remember that no matter how different someone looks, they are still human. We are all a part of the human species walking and living on Earth, breathing the same air, going to the same places, and doing the same things. What makes us unique is the way we choose to live life and the way we view life. Each person out there has at least one unique quality that makes them different from the person standing next to them. We just have to cherish that quality rather than see it for something negative.
